Rebranding a Done-for-You Funnel for a Client: Pages, Emails and Sender Details

A done-for-you funnel usually arrives as a set of connected pieces: an opt-in page, a thank-you page, a lead magnet, an email sequence and often a sales page. Rebranding it for a client means more than swapping logos. Every link, sender detail and legal reference has to point to the client, not to you or the original creator.

Map the Funnel First

Before editing, list every asset and how it connects: which page collects the email address, which email delivers the lead magnet, which link leads to the offer. A simple table with columns for asset, URL or file, owner and status keeps the work visible and doubles as a test plan.

Rebrand the Pages

  • Apply the client’s logo, colors and fonts from their brand kit.
  • Rewrite headlines and offer descriptions in the client’s voice and confirm every claim with them.
  • Replace footer links with the client’s own privacy policy and terms pages.
  • Remove any testimonials or results that came with the template unless the client supplies real ones.

Update the Emails and Sender Details

The FTC’s CAN-SPAM compliance guide says marketing emails need accurate From and Reply-To information that identifies the sender, subject lines that reflect the content, a valid physical postal address and a clear opt-out method, with requests honored within 10 business days. It also states that a business cannot contract away its responsibility by hiring someone else to send its email. Make sure the client’s name, address and unsubscribe instructions replace every placeholder.

Deliverability matters too. Gmail’s sender guidelines, as of October 2026, ask all senders to set up SPF or DKIM authentication for their sending domain. Senders of more than 5,000 messages a day to Gmail accounts must use SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and marketing messages must support one-click unsubscribe. Send from an address on the client’s own domain and coordinate the DNS setup with whoever manages it. For editing the sequence itself, see our email sequence rebranding checklist.

Check Links and Tracking

Click every link in every page and email. Replace placeholder URLs, confirm the lead magnet download works, and make sure tracking codes and form integrations belong to the client’s accounts rather than yours.

Test It as a Subscriber

Sign up with a test address, receive each email, click through to the offer and unsubscribe. Note anything that still shows the original branding. Share the results with the client before launch, along with a clear handoff package.
